Egnyte continually strives to develop and deliver new features in response to customer demand. Here’s a quick snapshot of the new features we’ve delivered since last month, along with a look at what’s coming up over the next 30 days.

What’s New:New Public Folder Link Page: A new sleek interface for the folder link page improves usability with new functionality, including thumbnail views, file preview, and a mobile-friendly layout.

Right-Click File and Folder Actions: To make it easier to access various file and folder options, including making a copy, sending a link or editing folder options, users can now simply right click on the file or folder to access all available options.

Thumbnails: Are you looking for a specific picture in a folder filled with tons of image files? The new thumbnail listing view makes it simple to find the image you’re looking for.

What’s Next:Role-Based Administration: Admins will be able to create custom roles for power users, granting them access to selective admin capabilities, such as the ability to manage plan details or users, among other options. This can be done without providing full administrative capabilities to the power user.Folder Link Controls: This new feature will allow admins to disable public links on a per-folder basis, which can prevent users from inadvertently or inappropriately sharing sensitive content externally.Password Flow Change: For increased security, admins and power users will no longer be able to set passwords for other users. This will ensure that only the user will know his/her password. Invite emails will enable users to set and reset passwords, as needed.New Identity Provider Support: Integrations with Microsoft Azure AD and Bitium will provide more choices for our customers when it comes to managing users. One of our partners Okta will also release a new user provisioning integration that will replicate changes made in Okta with those users in Egnyte.Be sure to also check the Egnyte Helpdesk regularly for more details on functionality and product updates.
